How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the grill before working near the auger.

  • Step 1 – Empty hopper: Remove pellets to expose the auger area.
  • Step 2 – Run briefly to locate noise: With the hopper empty and grill plugged in, start the grill and listen to pinpoint the noise source. Then unplug.
  • Step 3 – Remove auger: Take off the auger motor and pull the auger shaft out. Clean pellet dust and resin from the shaft and tube.
  • Step 4 – Inspect motor: Spin the auger motor shaft by hand. If rough or noisy, replace the ASMOKE auger motor.
