How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.

Access the combustion fan: Remove the side or bottom service panel to locate the combustion fan assembly attached to the fire pot housing.
Inspect fan blades: Check for grease, ash, or debris preventing the fan from spinning. Clean the blades and housing thoroughly.
Spin test: With power still disconnected, spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely. If it binds or grinds, the fan motor is likely failing and should be replaced.
Check wiring: Verify the fan connector is fully seated on the control board and that the wires are intact and not heat-damaged.
Replace fan if needed: Remove mounting screws, disconnect wiring, and install a new Broil King Crown Pellet combustion fan assembly.
Controller check: If a known-good fan does not run and Er7 remains, the control board may be defective and require replacement.

Display shows Er7; grill powers on but fan does not run and ignition fails.
