How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the grill to cool.
- Reseat RTD connector: Access the back of the controller and unplug/replug the RTD sensor connector to ensure a solid connection.
- Inspect probe and cable: Check the probe inside the cook chamber and its cable for physical damage, kinks, or melted insulation.
- Replace RTD if damaged: Remove the mounting screw(s), pull the old probe and cable out, and install a new Broil King Crown Pellet RTD temperature probe.
- Controller check: If a new probe does not clear the SEN error, the control board sensor circuit may be defective and should be replaced.
