How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately unplug the grill. Keep the hopper lid closed to limit oxygen. Have a fire extinguisher ready. Do not use water.
- Monitor hopper: If smoke is light and decreasing, allow pellets to burn out while monitoring closely. If flames appear, use a fire extinguisher.
- After cool-down: Remove all pellets from the hopper and auger tube. Vacuum out fines and ash.
- Inspect auger tube: Remove the auger and clean the tube thoroughly to remove compacted pellets and dust.
