Display shows ASH or 'Clean Ash' reminder and grill performance is poor

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

• Clean firepot: Remove grates and heat diffuser. Vacuum or scoop out ash from the firepot and surrounding burn chamber. Ensure all air holes are clear.
• Clean interior: Remove loose ash from the cook box, under the drip tray, and in the bottom of the cabinet using a shop vacuum rated for ash (only when ash is cold).
• Check exhaust: Inspect the chimney and exhaust ports for ash buildup and clean as needed.
• Reset reminder: Follow the controller instructions to clear the ASH or clean reminder after maintenance.
