Possible Causes
Failed combustion fan motor, Obstruction in fan housing, Loose fan wiring at control board, Fan blades clogged with grease and debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely.
- Access fan: Remove the side or rear service panel to access the combustion fan assembly.
- Inspect for obstructions: Check that the fan blades spin freely by hand. Remove any debris, grease buildup, or foreign objects.
- Check wiring: Verify the fan's power connector is firmly attached to the control board and that the wires are not damaged or melted.
- Test operation: With panels still off but clear of moving parts, plug in the grill and start a cycle. Observe whether the fan starts. If it hums but does not spin, the motor is likely failed.
- Replace fan: If the fan does not run or is noisy and slow, replace the combustion fan with a Broil King-compatible blower assembly.
