Possible Causes
Empty pellet hopper, Pellet bridge preventing feed, Hopper sensor misreading level (if equipped), Auger not feeding pellets despite pellets present
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill before reaching into the hopper.
- Refill hopper: Check the hopper and refill with dry, high-quality pellets if low or empty.
- Break pellet bridge: Stir the pellets by hand to break up any bridging or clumping. Remove excessive sawdust from the bottom of the hopper.
- Check hopper sensor (if present): Some models have a pellet level sensor. Inspect the sensor for dust buildup and clean gently. Ensure its wiring is intact and connected to the control board.
- Verify auger feed: With pellets in the hopper, run a feed or prime cycle and confirm pellets are dropping into the firepot. If not, diagnose the auger motor and shaft for jams.
