Possible Causes
RTD probe sensing ambient while fire is out, Igniter and auger not operating, Control board stuck in display mode only
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not assume the grill is cold based solely on display; verify by touch only after allowing time to cool.
- Check for flame: Open the lid and visually confirm whether there is a fire in the firepot.
- Observe startup sequence: Start the grill and verify that the auger feeds pellets, the igniter glows, and the fan runs.
- Inspect wiring: If the display works but none of the outputs (auger, fan, igniter) operate, check the output connectors on the control board.
- Replace control board: If outputs remain inactive despite correct wiring and power, the control board may be defective.
