Possible Causes
Failed auger motor, Broken shear pin or coupler, Disconnected auger wiring, Faulty auger relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before accessing the auger motor.
- Check wiring: Verify the auger motor connector is firmly attached to the control board and not damaged.
- Inspect coupler/pin: Remove the motor and inspect the coupler or shear pin connecting it to the auger shaft. Replace if broken.
- Bench test motor: If you are comfortable and qualified, briefly power the motor with the correct voltage to see if it spins. If not, replace the motor.
- Controller diagnosis: If the motor is good but never receives power, the control board auger output may be faulty and require replacement.
