Camp Chef Ash Cleanout Reminder

Display shows “ASH” or ash clean reminder; grill may prompt for cleaning after several hours of use.

Possible Causes

Ash buildup in firepot, Ash accumulation in burn chamber, Restricted airflow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Empty firepot: Remove grates and drip tray. Use the Camp Chef ash cleanout system (if equipped) or a shop vacuum to remove ash from the firepot.
Clean burn chamber: Vacuum loose ash from around the firepot and under the drip tray.
Reset reminder: Follow the controller instructions to clear the ash reminder if applicable.
