• Break pellet bridge: Stir pellets in the hopper with a clean, dry wooden stick to break up any bridging.
• Inspect for objects: Remove any foreign objects (screws, tools, large wood chunks) that may block the auger intake.
• Check intake opening: Ensure the opening where pellets drop into the auger is not blocked by sawdust or pellet fines. Vacuum if necessary.
• Verify lid switch (if present): Some models have a hopper lid safety switch. Make sure the lid closes fully and the switch actuator is not bent or damaged.
