Grill shuts off when lid is opened or closed, or only runs with lid in a certain position (on models with lid switch).

Safety first: Unplug the grill before inspecting the switch.

• Locate switch: Find the lid safety switch near the hinge or front lip (if your model has one).
• Check alignment: Ensure the lid tab or magnet properly engages the switch when closed.
• Inspect wiring: Look for loose or broken wires at the switch terminals.
• Replace switch: If the switch does not click or test properly, replace it with a compatible Camp Chef lid switch.
