Possible Causes
Control board firmware issue, Stuck relay on control board, Incorrect wiring to auger output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If pellets continue to feed with the grill off, unplug the grill immediately to stop the auger.
- Power reset: Leave the grill unplugged for several minutes, then plug back in and test shutdown again.
- Observe behavior: If the auger still runs excessively long after shutdown, the control board may have a stuck relay or firmware fault.
- Inspect wiring: With power disconnected, verify the auger motor is connected to the correct output on the control board according to the wiring diagram.
- Replace control board: If wiring is correct and the issue persists, replace the control board.
