How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before opening the control panel. Do not work on live circuits.
- Check outlet and cord: Verify the wall outlet has power by testing with another appliance. Inspect the grill power cord for cuts or burns.
- Inspect main fuse: Remove the control panel cover and locate the main fuse (if equipped). If the fuse is blown, replace it with the same rating. If it blows again immediately, the board or another component is shorted.
- Look for board damage: Check the control board for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or scorch marks. Visible damage indicates the board should be replaced.
- Replace control board: Label and disconnect all harnesses, remove mounting screws, and install a new Char‑Griller compatible control board. Reconnect all plugs exactly as before and secure the panel.
