Empty hopper, Pellet bridge preventing feed, Jammed auger intake

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill before reaching into the hopper or auger area.

  • Refill hopper: Add dry pellets to at least half the hopper capacity.
  • Break pellet bridge: Use a clean, dry tool to stir pellets and break up any arching or bridging above the auger intake.
  • Check auger intake: If the message persists, remove pellets down to the auger opening and inspect for compacted sawdust or foreign objects. Vacuum out debris.
  • Prime auger: Run a prime cycle to refill the auger and fire pot before restarting a cook.
