Possible Causes
Restricted airflow from dirty fan or vents, Low pellet feed rate, Heat diffuser or drip tray installed incorrectly, Thin or leaking lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Let the grill cool before disassembly.
- Clean internals: Remove grates, diffuser, and drip tray. Clean ash from the fire pot and ensure air holes are open. Clean grease from the drip tray and diffuser.
- Check fan and vents: Verify the combustion fan runs strongly and that intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
- Verify assembly: Reinstall the heat diffuser and drip tray according to the manual. Incorrect placement can trap heat away from the cook chamber.
- Increase feed: If your controller allows, slightly increase the P-setting or set a higher temperature to test whether the grill can climb.
