Possible Causes
Auger running too long each cycle, Control board calibration issue, RTD probe reading too low, Lid thermometer misinterpretation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Monitor the grill closely when troubleshooting high temperatures.
- Verify actual temp: Use a separate oven thermometer or probe to confirm the real cook chamber temperature.
- Clean RTD probe: Remove buildup that can insulate the probe and cause low readings.
- Adjust P-setting: Lower the P-setting to reduce pellet feed intervals.
- Observe auger: With the grill running, watch the auger. If it runs almost constantly regardless of setpoint, the control board may be faulty and should be replaced.
