Possible Causes
Damaged meat probe cable, Probe tip contaminated with moisture, Faulty probe jack on control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not touch hot grates or food while adjusting probes.
- Inspect probe: Check the cable for cuts or kinks and the plug for corrosion.
- Test in boiling water: Place the probe tip in boiling water (212°F / 100°C at sea level) and compare the reading. A large deviation indicates a bad probe.
- Try another jack/probe: If your grill has multiple probe jacks, test in another jack or with a known-good probe.
- Replace probe: If the probe is faulty, replace it with a Char‑Griller compatible meat probe.
