Safety first: Perform burn-in with no food on the grill and good ventilation.
- Remove packaging: Ensure all plastic, cardboard, and manuals are removed from inside the grill.
- Clean surfaces: Wipe interior surfaces and grates with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then rinse and dry.
- Burn-in cycle: Run the grill at 350–400°F for 45–60 minutes to burn off residual oils and cure paint, following the manual.
- Ventilate: Keep the grill outdoors in an open area during burn-in.
