Possible Causes
Open auger motor winding, Failed motor capacitor (if used), Loose motor connector, Control board output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Empty the hopper before working on the auger.
- Check connector: Verify the auger motor plug is fully seated on the control board.
- Test motor directly: If you are qualified, disconnect the motor and power it briefly with the appropriate voltage from a test source to see if it turns. If not, the motor is bad.
- Inspect capacitor: Some AC auger motors use a start capacitor. Replace a bulging or leaking auger motor capacitor.
- Replace auger motor: Install a new Enders auger motor assembly if the old one does not run.
- Check board output: If a known-good motor does not run when connected, the control board auger output is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
