Possible Causes
Incorrect feed calibration in controller, Restricted auger tube from partial jam, Low combustion fan speed, Using low-BTU pellets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill before mechanical inspection.
- Clean fire pot and burn area: Remove ash and debris from the fire pot and surrounding area to ensure efficient combustion.
- Check pellet feed: Empty the hopper and inspect for sawdust buildup around the auger intake. Vacuum out fines and refill with high-quality hardwood pellets.
- Inspect auger tube: Remove access panels and visually inspect the auger tube for partial obstructions. Clear any compacted pellets.
- Verify fan speed: Start the grill and listen for strong airflow from the combustion fan. Clean the fan blades and air passages if airflow seems weak.
- Controller calibration: Some Enders controllers allow feed rate or P-setting adjustments. Refer to your model's manual to reset to factory defaults or adjust the feed rate slightly higher to correct underheating.
If Er12 persists after cleaning and calibration, the auger motor or combustion fan may be weakening and require replacement.
