Er13
Enders
Ignition Timeout / Failed Light-Off
Er13 appears; grill shuts down shortly after startup with a strong smoke smell but no sustained flame.

Possible Causes
Weak igniter not reaching full temperature, Excessive pellets in fire pot from previous cycle, Poor airflow due to blocked intake, Wet pellets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Open the lid and allow any smoke to clear. Wait until all pellets in the fire pot are cool before handling.
- Empty fire pot: Remove grates and diffuser. Scoop out excess pellets from the fire pot and vacuum ash. Leaving too many pellets can smother the igniter.
- Check igniter glow: With the fire pot exposed, plug in the grill and start a cycle. After 2–3 minutes, confirm that the igniter glows bright red/orange. If it is dim or not glowing, test and replace as needed.
- Improve airflow: Inspect the air intake and exhaust for obstructions. Clean the combustion fan and ensure it starts promptly at ignition.
- Use fresh pellets: Discard any pellets that have been stored in a humid environment. Refill with dry pellets and avoid leaving pellets in the hopper for long periods.
- Restart correctly: Follow the Enders startup procedure: start on SMOKE or LOW with the lid open until a stable flame is visible, then close the lid and set the desired temperature.
Repeated Er13 events with a good igniter and airflow may indicate a control board timing issue and warrant board replacement.
