Possible Causes
Wrong type of temperature probe installed, Unsupported accessory plugged into port, Damaged sensor ID resistor, Firmware not compatible with accessory
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill before connecting or disconnecting accessories.
- Remove accessories: Unplug all meat probes and optional accessories from the control panel. Power on the grill and check if Er20 clears.
- Use correct parts: Ensure you are using Enders-branded probes and accessories specified for your model.
- Inspect connectors: Check probe and accessory jacks for bent pins or debris. Clean gently if needed.
- Update firmware: Install the latest firmware that supports your accessories, if available.
- Replace faulty sensor: If a particular probe or accessory always triggers Er20, replace that item.
If Er20 appears with no accessories connected, the control board's sensor ID circuitry may be faulty and require board replacement.
