Possible Causes
Weak or burned-out igniter, Igniter not positioned correctly in fire pot, Excessive ash insulating pellets from igniter, Low combustion airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Allow all pellets in the fire pot to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean fire pot: Remove all pellets and ash from the fire pot. Vacuum thoroughly so the igniter is exposed.
- Check igniter position: The tip of the Enders glow igniter rod should protrude slightly into the fire pot holes or sit just below the pellet bed. Adjust mounting if it is too far back.
- Test igniter glow: With the fire pot exposed, plug in the grill and start a cycle. Confirm the igniter glows bright red/orange within a few minutes. Replace if it does not.
- Verify airflow: Ensure the combustion fan runs during ignition and that intake/exhaust paths are clear.
- Restart: After cleaning and any replacement, follow the proper startup procedure and monitor the first ignition to confirm a stable flame.
