Possible Causes
Temperature sensor not in correct position, Grease or soot on RTD probe, Controller P-setting too aggressive, Air leaks around lid gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before touching internal components.
- Inspect RTD probe: Clean the grill temperature sensor with a soft cloth to remove grease and soot. Ensure it is not touching metal surfaces.
- Check lid seal: Inspect the lid gasket for gaps or damage. Replace with an Enders high-temperature lid gasket if leaking.
- Controller settings: If your Enders controller has adjustable P-settings or similar, reduce the aggressiveness (higher P-number) to smooth temperature swings.
- Avoid frequent lid opening: Opening the lid often can cause the controller to overcompensate. Allow the grill to stabilize after changes.
