Possible Causes
Restricted pellet feed, Weak auger motor, Combustion fan not at full speed, Excessive heat loss from damaged seals or open vents
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill before mechanical inspection.
- Clean thoroughly: Remove ash from the fire pot and interior. Clean the combustion fan and exhaust.
- Check pellet feed rate: Observe pellet delivery at high temperature settings. If feed is sparse, inspect the auger and hopper for jams or worn parts.
- Inspect seals: Check lid gasket, door seals, and any access panels for gaps. Replace worn gaskets with Enders high-temp gasket kits.
- Verify fan speed: Listen for strong airflow at high temp. Replace the fan if it sounds weak or inconsistent.
If the grill still cannot reach target temperatures, the control board may not be commanding sufficient feed or fan speed and may need replacement.
