Possible Causes
Igniter not heating, Excessive ash blocking igniter, No pellet feed to firepot, Combustion fan not providing enough air
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill and ensure it is cool before removing internal parts.
- Clean firepot: Remove grates and heat shield. Vacuum ash and debris from the firepot, especially around the igniter hole.
- Verify pellet feed: Start the grill and confirm pellets are dropping into the firepot. If not, troubleshoot the auger system.
- Check igniter glow: In a darkened area, start the grill and look for a red/orange glow from the igniter tip in the firepot. If there is no glow, test and replace the igniter.
- Confirm fan operation: Ensure the combustion fan runs during ignition to supply air. Clean or replace the fan if weak.
