Possible Causes
Insufficient pellet feed, Wet or poor-quality pellets, Combustion fan not running at full speed, Excessive heat loss due to open lid or wind
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the grill off and allow it to cool before internal cleaning.
- Check pellets: Ensure the hopper is full of dry, high-quality pellets. Replace any pellets that are swollen or crumbly.
- Clean firepot: Remove ash and clinkers from the firepot to ensure proper combustion.
- Inspect combustion fan: Confirm the fan runs strongly during operation. Clean the fan blades and housing if dirty.
- Check for air leaks: Inspect the lid gasket and body seams. Excessive leaks can cause heat loss. Adjust lid alignment if needed.
- Shield from wind: Use a windbreak or GMG thermal blanket in cold/windy conditions to help maintain temperature.
