Display or app shows WiFi error and grill cannot connect to the Green Mountain Grills app.

Safety first: Network troubleshooting does not require opening the grill, but unplug the grill before removing the controller.

• Check signal strength: Move your router closer to the grill or use a WiFi extender to improve signal at the grill location.
• Verify credentials: In the GMG app, re-enter your 2.4 GHz WiFi network name and password. Ensure you are not using a 5 GHz-only network.
• Reset WiFi: Follow the GMG manual to perform a WiFi reset on the controller (often involves holding specific buttons during power-up).
• Update firmware: Use the GMG app or support instructions to update the controller firmware if an update is available.
• Replace control board: If the WiFi module on the board has failed and cannot be reset, replace the control board with a WiFi-enabled OEM Green Mountain Grills controller.
