Possible Causes
Control board stuck in cool-down mode, Faulty temperature reading from RTD, Stuck fan relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the fan runs abnormally long, you may unplug the grill after the fire is clearly out and the grill has cooled somewhat.
- Verify temperature: Check the displayed temperature during shutdown. If it never drops, the RTD may be faulty.
- Power cycle: Unplug the grill for several minutes, then plug back in and observe normal operation.
- Inspect control board: If the fan runs whenever the grill is plugged in, the fan relay may be stuck closed. Replace the control board.
- Replace RTD if needed: If the board thinks the grill is still hot due to a bad RTD, replace the RTD probe.
