Possible Causes
Low pellet feed rate, Wet or crumbly pellets, Excessive ash choking firepot, Weak combustion fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool and disconnect power before cleaning.
- Use fresh pellets: Empty the hopper and refill with dry, high-quality pellets. Avoid pellets stored in damp conditions.
- Deep clean firepot: Remove all ash and clinkers from the firepot and surrounding area. Clean at least every 2–3 cooks.
- Inspect combustion fan: Ensure the fan spins freely and runs at full speed. Clean blades and housing.
- Check for air leaks: Make sure the lid closes fully and that there are no large gaps around the door or body seams.
- Monitor startup: Watch the first 10–15 minutes of a cook to confirm a stable flame and consistent pellet feed.
