Possible Causes
Tripped GFCI outlet, Blown fuse in control board, Damaged power cord, Failed control board power supply section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before inspecting wiring or opening the controller housing.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another appliance. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or loose connections at the plug. Replace the GMG power cord if damaged.
- Check onboard fuse: Remove the controller and inspect for a replaceable fuse. If blown, replace with the same rating and investigate for shorts.
- Test incoming voltage: With a multimeter and appropriate caution, verify AC voltage is reaching the control board input.
- Replace control board: If power is present at the board but it remains dead, replace the control board with the correct OEM GMG controller.
