Possible Causes
Incorrect P‑setting or feed program, RTD probe coated in grease, Control board calibration drift, Excessive pellet feed due to sticking auger relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the lid closed during operation to avoid flare‑ups. Adjust settings from the control panel only.
- Step 1 – Clean RTD probe: Gently clean the temperature probe inside the cook chamber to remove grease and soot.
- Step 2 – Reset control settings: Restore factory default temperature and P‑settings according to the Landmann manual.
- Step 3 – Monitor pellet feed: With the lid open and no food inside, observe pellet drops at a low setpoint. If pellets continue feeding when they should pause, the auger relay on the control board may be sticking and the board should be replaced.
- Step 4 – Use an external thermometer: Compare the grill display to a reliable oven thermometer. If discrepancies remain large after cleaning and reset, replace the RTD probe.
