Dry or worn auger bushings, Foreign object in auger tube, Bent auger shaft, Misaligned auger motor mount
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool before accessing the auger assembly.
- Step 1 – Empty hopper: Remove pellets to expose the auger intake.
- Step 2 – Inspect for foreign objects: Use a flashlight to look for screws, stones, or other debris in the auger intake. Remove any obstructions.
- Step 3 – Remove auger: Detach the auger motor and slide the auger shaft out. Inspect for bends, scoring, or heavy rust.
- Step 4 – Clean and lubricate: Clean the auger tube and shaft. Lightly lubricate the auger bushings with a high‑temperature, food‑safe lubricant if recommended by Landmann.
- Step 5 – Replace worn parts: If bushings are oval or excessively loose, replace the auger bushing kit. Replace a bent auger shaft.
