Bluetooth-enabled Louisiana Grills controller shows ErPBT or cannot connect to mobile app

Safety first: Only work inside the controller housing with the grill unplugged.

• Step 1 – Power cycle controller: Turn the grill off and unplug it for 2–3 minutes. Plug back in and power on, then attempt to reconnect via the Louisiana Grills app.
• Step 2 – Reset Bluetooth pairing: In the app, remove or forget the grill device. On the controller, enter pairing mode per the user manual (often by holding a specific button). Re-pair the grill with your phone.
• Step 3 – Reduce interference: Move your phone within a few feet of the controller. Turn off or move away from other Bluetooth devices that may interfere.
• Step 4 – Inspect antenna (if external): Some models have an external antenna wire or stub. Ensure it is not broken or disconnected from the control board.
• Step 5 – Firmware update: If available, update the controller firmware via the app following Louisiana Grills instructions. Persistent ErPBT may indicate a failing control board that requires replacement.
