Safety first: Do not touch hot grates or metal surfaces when checking probes during a cook.

• Step 1 – Verify probe connection: Ensure the meat probe plug is fully inserted into the PROBE jack on the controller. Push firmly until it seats.
• Step 2 – Inspect probe cable: Check the entire length of the probe cable for cuts, kinks, or melted insulation from contact with hot surfaces. Replace the probe if damaged.
• Step 3 – Test with another probe: If available, plug in a known-good Louisiana Grills-compatible meat probe. If the new probe reads correctly, the original probe is faulty.
• Step 4 – Check probe jack: Gently wiggle the probe plug at the controller. If the reading jumps or cuts out, the jack may be loose or damaged. The controller may need repair or replacement.
• Step 5 – Clear error: Remove the probe, power cycle the grill, then reconnect the probe. If ErPRB persists with a good probe, contact support or replace the controller.
