Display shows LOC and buttons do not respond

Note: LOC is typically a lock indicator, not a hardware failure.

• 1. Disable lock:
  • Press and hold the designated lock/unlock button (often the power or temp button) for 3–5 seconds until LOC disappears. Refer to your Masterbuilt manual for the exact combination.
• 2. Power cycle:
  • Unplug the grill for 1 minute, then plug back in and check if LOC cleared.
• 3. Check for stuck buttons:
  • Press each button firmly several times.
  • If a button feels stuck or does not click, the keypad membrane may be failing and the control board should be replaced.
