Possible Causes
User-selected very long pellet feed pause, Low ambient temperature, Strong wind cooling the fire pot, Low-quality pellets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: P7 is typically the longest pause/lowest feed setting and can cause flame-outs in some conditions.
- 1. Change P-setting:
- Adjust the controller from P7 down to P4 or P3, or switch to a fixed temperature mode.
- 2. Improve conditions:
- Use a grill blanket or windbreak in cold/windy weather.
- Ensure the lid remains closed during operation.
- 3. Use quality pellets:
- Switch to a premium, 100% hardwood pellet recommended by Masterbuilt.
