Possible Causes
Clogged grease channel, Misaligned drip pan, Full or missing grease bucket, Excessive grease buildup in cook chamber
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning grease. Grease can ignite.
- 1. Inspect drip pan:
- Remove grates and verify the drip pan is installed correctly with the slope toward the grease channel.
- Re-seat or adjust as needed.
- 2. Clean grease channel:
- Use a plastic scraper to remove hardened grease from the channel.
- Run a flexible brush or cloth through the channel to clear blockages.
- 3. Check grease bucket:
- Ensure the bucket or pail is installed and not full.
- Empty and clean regularly.
- 4. Deep clean interior:
- Scrape heavy grease from the barrel walls and bottom.
- Dispose of grease safely in a non-combustible container.
