Lid thermometer (if equipped) disagrees significantly with digital display

• 1. Use a reference thermometer:
  • Place a reliable digital probe at grate level.
  • Compare readings from the grate probe, lid gauge, and digital display.
• 2. Understand location differences:
  • Recognize that lid gauges read higher or lower depending on placement.
• 3. Replace faulty sensor:
  • If the digital display is clearly inaccurate compared to grate-level reference, replace the RTD temperature probe.
  • If only the lid gauge is off, replace the lid thermometer if desired.
