How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Operate the grill outdoors with good ventilation. Do not cook food until the smell dissipates.

  • 1. Remove accessories:
    • Take out any non-original accessories or packaging materials.
  • 2. Clean interior:
    • Wipe grates, drip pan, and interior surfaces with warm soapy water, then rinse and dry.
  • 3. Perform burn-off:
    • Run the grill empty at 350–400°F for 45–60 minutes.
    • Allow to cool and repeat if odor persists.
  • 4. Avoid harsh chemicals:
    • Do not use oven cleaner or solvent-based sprays inside the cook chamber.
