Possible Causes
Auger motor not receiving power, Stripped auger motor gearbox, Jammed auger flighting, Loose auger set screw or coupling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the grill before servicing the auger system.
- Check for jam: Empty the hopper and inspect the auger intake. Remove any foreign objects or compacted pellets.
- Inspect coupling: Access the auger motor and check the coupling or set screw that connects the motor shaft to the auger. Tighten if loose.
- Test motor: With the auger disconnected, briefly power the grill and observe whether the motor shaft turns during a feed cycle. If it does not, and wiring is intact, replace the auger motor.
- Clear auger tube: If the motor turns but the auger does not, remove the auger from the tube and clear any jammed pellets. Clean and reinstall.
- Reassemble and test: Reconnect the motor, refill the hopper, and run a startup to confirm pellet feed and that the AUGER error is cleared.
