Possible Causes
Failed display module, Loose display ribbon cable, Moisture damage to display, Controller not supplying display voltage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the grill before removing the display panel.
- Check brightness (if adjustable): Some models allow brightness adjustment; ensure it is not set to minimum.
- Inspect display connections: Remove the front bezel and reseat the ribbon cable or harness between the display and main board.
- Look for moisture: If the display lens shows condensation, allow it to dry thoroughly. Avoid spraying water directly on the control panel in the future.
- Replace display: If the backlight never comes on and connections are good, replace the display/keypad assembly with a Memphis-compatible part.
- Controller check: If a new display does not light, the controller may not be providing display power and should be replaced.
