Possible Causes
RTD probe unplugged from control board, Broken RTD wire near probe body, Wrong type of probe installed, Corroded connector pins
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before accessing the control panel or wiring.
- Step 1 – Check internal probe: Locate the RTD probe inside the cook chamber and ensure it is firmly mounted and not loose.
- Step 2 – Verify connection: Remove the control panel and locate the RTD connector on the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated. Unplug and re‑plug to clean contacts.
- Step 3 – Inspect cable: Follow the RTD cable along its path. Look for cuts, melted sections, or pinch points. Replace the probe if any conductor is exposed or broken.
- Step 4 – Use correct OEM part: If the probe was recently replaced with a non‑Monument part, install the correct OEM RTD to ensure compatibility.
