Grease leaking from front or sides of grill cabinet

Safety first: Ensure the grill is cool before handling greasy components. Grease can be flammable.

• Step 1 – Level the grill: Use a level to ensure the Monument grill tilts slightly toward the grease drain side. Adjust casters or legs as needed.
• Step 2 – Clean grease channel: Remove grates and drip tray. Scrape and wipe the grease channel and drain opening. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to clear the drain.
• Step 3 – Check drip tray alignment: Reinstall the drip tray so that it fully covers the firepot area and directs grease toward the drain.
• Step 4 – Empty grease bucket: Regularly empty and clean the external grease bucket or cup.
• Step 5 – Inspect for damage: If leaks persist, inspect the drip tray and drain tube for cracks or warping and replace if necessary.
