Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker or GFCI, Faulty Monument power cord, Loose internal power connections, Failed main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the grill before opening any panels. Do not work on live circuits.
- Step 1 – Check outlet and breaker: Test the outlet with another device. Reset any tripped breaker or GFCI.
- Step 2 – Inspect power cord: Examine the cord from plug to grill for cuts, burns, or crushed areas. Replace if damaged.
- Step 3 – Verify internal connections: Remove the control panel and access panel. Confirm that the power cord leads are securely attached to the main control board and any terminal blocks.
- Step 4 – Check internal fuse: Look for a fuse on or near the control board. Replace only with the same rating if blown. If it blows again immediately, stop and seek service.
- Step 5 – Replace control board: If power is present at the board but the display remains dead, replace the Monument main control board.
