Possible Causes
Empty hopper, Pellet bridging in hopper, Wet or swollen pellets, Auger feed rate too low for set temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Allow the fire pot to cool.
Steps:
- Check hopper level: Refill the hopper with dry, high-quality hardwood pellets if low or empty.
- Break bridging: Stir pellets in the hopper to break up any bridges or clumps that prevent pellets from dropping into the auger intake.
- Inspect pellet quality: Remove any pellets that are soft, swollen, or disintegrating. Store pellets in a dry environment.
- Clean fire pot: Remove excess unburned pellets and ash, then restart the grill following the manufacturer’s startup procedure.
