Display temperature much higher or lower than actual grill temperature

Safety first: Use heat‑resistant gloves when checking temperature on a hot grill.

• Clean RTD probe: Wipe off grease and soot.
• Verify insertion depth: Ensure the probe extends properly into the cook chamber and is not pulled back into the wall.
• Compare with reference thermometer: Place a reliable oven/grill thermometer near the center of the grate and compare readings at several temperatures.
• Replace RTD if off by more than 25°F: Install a new Nexgrill RTD probe if readings are consistently inaccurate.
• Controller calibration (if available): Some models allow offset adjustment; follow Nexgrill instructions to fine‑tune displayed temperature.
