Possible Causes
Disconnected auger motor plug, Failed auger motor, Seized auger shaft, Faulty auger driver circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill before working near the auger.
- Check auger motor connector: Access the auger motor under or behind the hopper. Confirm the motor plug is fully seated and wires are intact.
- Test motor directly (advanced users): If comfortable and qualified, you can bench‑test the auger motor with the appropriate AC or DC voltage (per Nexgrill specs). If it does not run, replace the motor.
- Check for mechanical seizure: Disconnect the motor from the auger shaft and attempt to rotate the auger by hand. If it will not turn, clear jams or replace the auger shaft if bent.
- Inspect control board: If the motor and auger are free but do not receive power during a feed cycle, the control board auger output may have failed and should be replaced.
