Display shows FAN error and grill shuts down or fails to ignite properly

Safety first: Unplug the grill and ensure all components are cool.

• Access the combustion fan: Remove the side or rear access panel to expose the fan assembly mounted near the fire pot.
• Inspect for obstructions: Check the fan blades for grease buildup, ash, or foreign objects. Clean with a brush and vacuum as needed.
• Check wiring: Ensure the fan's power connector is fully seated on the control board and that wires are not cut or burned.
• Spin test: Gently spin the fan blades by hand. They should rotate freely without grinding. If seized or very stiff, the fan motor must be replaced.
• Test operation: Plug the grill in and start a startup cycle while observing the fan (keep fingers clear). If it does not run, replace the Nexgrill combustion fan assembly.
• Reassemble and verify: After replacement, reassemble panels and run a full startup to confirm the FAN error is cleared and the flame is strong and stable.
